This journal respectfully is dedicated to the life and memory of
Two weeks ago, this young lady was in a car accident and passed away. I am not privileged to say that I was her friend, or that I knew her. I have followed her artwork for a short while and it was fantastic. No, I know her through a friend of mine, `yrindale, who was a friend of hers.
From my understading, hakubaikou did a LOT of professional work without really making it public knowledge. She was extremely humble about herself and with her work. I've heard that she did a lot of contract work while still doing her own work, and she never burned out. For someone like me, I take that to mean she had a lot of love for art, no matter what she was doing. That's extremely inspiring and something I aspire to achieve for myself and hope you do as well.
I had hoped to finish the three pictures I'm working on today, but due to circumstance that didn't happen. I did finish one, and its been uploaded with my dedication, and when the next two are one, they too will have the dedicatio. I picked these three because I've had that love and enjoyment I mentioned with these, and it felt appropriate to dedicate them to hakubaikou's memory and inspiration.
Valentine's Day is about love, and today I not only celebrate my love with my lady, but the love for art, for talent, for creativity, for my God, and for life. I invite you to do the same with me.
